7.1 Exercise
Create a number of string clusters ranging from two to five notes in a variety of ranges. Also create an expanding cluster starting with two notes and adding a note every two measures. Then add glissandos to two of them. Discuss who they might work in a scene and what type of imagery would they support. Now change the sound patches from strings to electronic patches that are not orchestral in nature. How could they now function in a scene?
